Bye Bye Joanna Pacitti, Welcome Felicia Barton

Felicia Barton, American Idol
While going through the American Idol website, I noticed that Joanna Pacitti, has been replaced by Felicia Barton in the final 36. A bit of research on the internet revealed that after the controversy regarding Joanna Pacitti, the American Idol contestant, the singer has been disqualified from the competition.

"It has been determined that Joanna Pacitti is ineligible to continue in the competition," was put up on the American Idol website.

Pacitti, 24, was surprisingly replaced with Felicia Barton. But no explanation has been given as to why Pacitti was disqualified. Although she has been under heavy scrutiny for already having a record deal with a major label. But unlike in previous seasons, the producers were up-front about Pacitti's professional past.

Moreover, Pacitti is also supposed to be having a close personal relationships with executives at 19 Management, one of the companies that helps produce the show and manages some of the winners.

American Idol is attracting controversies every year it seems.

lol - American Idol is my guilty pleasure. I decided to wait until the "real" competition started before I started watching this year - looks like it's almost time!!

too bad Paciitti got booted from Idol; at least she got a ton of publicity out of the whole thing, that can't hurt
