Finally, I Let You Speak

death
I can see your face, with all
It’s innocence, and
Blood trickling down from
The corner of your lips.

You soul, your flesh, it washes,
It cleanses me of my sins.
Yet I am afraid, too afraid
To let you in my world.

You know, so you walk past the
Door.
But I am not your creator, for
I cannot show you the realms of
Atlantis.
I cannot control your destiny.

So I try, I give you your voice.
I let you tell your tale.
While I listen
Sitting with you in the middle of
Borderland.

You talk of cities, of death,
And fire from the sky.
You talk of what lies beyond
The river of belief.

And when you lie on my
Ashes,
I sprinkle sand in your eyes,
Golden dust of dreams.

And I promise,
The Sandman won’t let
Anyone
Take you away, back
Into the realms the darkness.

I won't die R
I can't die
Because I am a principle
I am a prisoner
I am a monk
And an enchanter
And a man
And you are my woman :)

@Mindspace : Thank you very much. I sat over at An Evening With Poetry and it seemed to me as if time had stopped. Unfortunately, most of your blogs are private.
