Muse V
Call me nymphomaniac
Call me obsessive woman
Call me neurotic
Call me a fool
Call me anything
But I must have my lover
At night when I lay
In my bed
My skin against the sheets
My lover plays with my head
He tells me all kind of stories
Keeping me awake
No matter which way
I turn
My lover's hands are there
To enfold me
But it's his voice that
Ignites my desire
His constant whisper
And fantastic tales
That stir the small hairs
On my body
Causing me to run my tongue
Over my lips
And shiver
From the magic
Of his words

Google is Listening, Submit Your Content to Google!
According to Google, it's main aim or mission is to organize the world's information and make it readily available to everyone irrespective of any geographical boundaries. But one thing we didn't know that Google has also tried to help us by opening different avenues through which we can participate in this endeavor.
And working towards this second goal, very recently Google have updated their Submit Your Content site and have also launched a Content Central Blog. The goal of both of these resources is to inform and help the many organizations that distribute various types of content via Google Web Search, Maps, Product Search, Book Search, YouTube, iGoogle and more.
So you better gear up, cause Google is listening. And trust me, when you say Google feedback it's not a dead end you are talking about.

Bad Bad Google, Have you Updated the PR?
Google seems to be tweaking their PR algorithm. This has led to the increase in the frequency of their Page Rank update where the last update had happend just 2 months back and the latest one has already been started. This weekend many blogs have once again lost their PR. This blog The Chronicles of R tossed in the PR race from PR 3 to PR 2. Although some sites have gained in PR too. There are various other examples of Google PageRank change in this latest Google Page RankUpdate, September 2008. Previous year there was a gap of 6 months between two major Google Page Rank Update and the big one took place in January 2008 Google Page Rank Update.
Somehow it all fits in when you read what Matt Cutts, the leading software engineer in Google who is also behind the success of Google Moderator, has to say about this. He placed a comment on his blog a few days ago, he stated that "I wouldn’t be surprised if new PageRanks started showing up this weekend or so".
But still, Google has not failed to show some link love on it's 10th birthday. Here you can see The Chronicles of R already being featured on the Official Google Blog for it's article on Google Birthday Bash.

Have you tried the Google Moderator?
Google Moderator has finally been released. This is a port to Google App Engine of an existing tool the software engineers used most of the time at Google. It's internal name was Dory (after the fish who asked questions all the time in Finding Nemo).
Now you must be wondering what is the function of Google Moderator? During company-wide meetings, Google Moderator would let anyone ask a question and then people can vote up the questions that they’d like answered.
The engineers at Google used it for prioritizing which questions are most important. In his blog Matt Cutts, the software engineer in Google said "I like that Google is in many ways turning itself inside out by taking many of our internal tools and making them available to the world. We use tools such as Gmail and Google Docs all the time in-house to share information, presentations, and docs. Guido van Rossum recently announced that a version of Mondrian, our internal code review tool, is available for the outside world to use. Now Google Moderator is another tool that anyone can use. Projects such as Google Code and Google App Engine make it even easier to share code or applications with the world. And releasing low-level tools such as protocol buffers or high-level tools such as Google Web Toolkit makes life easier for lots of developers".
Try out the Google Moderator, you can create your own set of voting "serise" which would let people ask and vote on questions. And the best part is that like most of it's services, Google Moderator too is a free service from Google.

Can't We Celebrate a Shay Day in Our Lives?
At a fundraising dinner for a school that serves children with learning disabilities, the father of one of the students delivered a speech that would never be forgotten by all who attended. After extolling the school and its dedicated staff, he offered a question:
'When not interfered with by outside influences, everything nature does, is done with perfection. Yet my son, Shay, cannot learn things as other children do. He cannot understand things as other children do. Where is the natural order of things in my son?'
The audience was stilled by the query.
The father continued. 'I believe that when a child like Shay, who was mentally and physically disabled comes into the world, an opportunity to realize true human nature presents itself, and it comes in the way other people treat that child.'
Then he told the following story:
Shay and I had walked past a park where some boys Shay knew were playing baseball. Shay asked, 'Do you think they'll let me play?' I knew that most of the boys would not want someone like Shay on their team, but as a father I also understood that if my son were allowed to play, it would give him a much-needed sense of belonging and some confidence to be accepted by others in spite of his handicaps.
I approached one of the boys on the field and asked (not expecting much) if Shay could play. The boy looked around for guidance and said, 'We're losing by six runs and the game is in the eighth inning. I guess he can be on our team and we'll try to put him in to bat in the ninth inning.'
Shay struggled over to the team's bench and, with a broad smile, put on a team shirt. I watched with a small tear in my eye and warmth in my heart. The boys saw my joy at my son being accepted. In the bottom of the eighth inning, Shay's team scored a few runs but was still behind by three. In the top of the ninth inning, Shay put on a glove and played in the right field. Even though no hits came his way, he was obviously ecstatic just to be in the game and on the field, grinning from ear to ear as I waved to him from the stands.
In the bottom of the ninth inning, Shay's team scored again. Now, with two outs and the bases loaded, the potential winning run was on base and Shay was scheduled to be next at bat. At this juncture, do they let Shay bat and give away their chance to win the game?
Surprisingly, Shay was given the bat. Everyone knew that a hit was all but impossible because Shay didn't even know how to hold the bat properly, much less connect with the ball. However, as Shay stepped up to the plate, the pitcher, recognizing that the other team was putting winning aside for this moment in Shay's life, moved in a few steps to lob the
ball in softly so Shay could at least make contact.
The first pitch came and Shay swung clumsily and missed. The pitcher again took a few steps forward to toss the ball softly towards Shay. As the pitch came in, Shay swung at the ball and hit a slow ground ball right back to the pitcher. The game would now be over. The pitcher picked up the soft grounder and could have easily thrown the ball to the first baseman.
Shay would have been out and that would have been the end of the game. Instead, the pitcher threw the ball right over the first baseman's head, out of reach of all team mates. Everyone from the stands and both teams started yelling, 'Shay, run to
first! Run to first!' Never in his life had Shay ever run that far, but he made it to first base. He scampered down the baseline, wide-eyed and startled. Everyone yelled, 'Run to second, run to second!' Catching his breath, Shay awkwardly ran towards second, gleaming and struggling to make it to the base. By the time Shay rounded towards second base, the right fielder had the ball the smallest guy on their team who now had his first chance to be the hero for his team.
He could have thrown the ball to the second-baseman for the tag, but he understood the pitcher's intentions so he, too, intentionally threw the ball high and far over the third-baseman's head. Shay ran toward third base deliriously as the runners ahead of him circled the bases toward home. All were screaming, 'Shay, Shay, Shay, all the Way Shay', Shay reached third base because the opposing shortstop ran to help him by turning him in the direction of third base, and shouted, 'Run to
third! Shay, run to third!'
As Shay rounded third, the boys from both teams, and the spectators, were on their feet screaming, 'Shay, run home! Run home!' Shay ran to home, stepped on the plate, and was cheered as the hero who hit the grand slam and won the game for his team.
'That day', said the father softly with tears now rolling down his face, 'the boys from both teams helped bring a piece of true love and humanity into this world'. Shay didn't make it to another summer. He died that winter, having never
forgotten being the hero and making me so happy, and coming home and seeing his Mother tearfully embrace her little hero of the day!

Delhi Blast Updates : The (Blame) Games Begins
The rigmarole of our respected Prime Minister and others in authority has already started to hide their shameless faces from the citizens of India. As expected, in accordance with the protocol right after the blast Mr. Manmohan Singh had called in a press conference and condemned the blast in a very serious note and appealed for calm. My question to Mr. Singh is, when would you stop having a laid back attitude towards the terrorist activities in India and make some moves towards eradicating them rather than calling press conferences and condemning the attacks after every blast? Why are you not on the roads already like the head honcho of your party who had visited the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital to enquire about the condition of those injured in the serial blasts in the national capital, aren't you concerned? Or do you think that you are incapable of performing all your duties alone, so why not Mrs. Gandhi take over half of it? Is it that you have better things to do because of which you could not take out time from your busy schedule to visit the citizens of India who had nominated you, I know the Indian politics has lost all it's morals, but atleast go and see those people who have suffered in the blasts even if for political mileage. It's time you stop throwing your witty one-liners at the opposition and prove that you are better than them, if at all you are better than them. Mr. Manmohan Singh, stop acting like a rubber stamp to Mrs. Gandhi and do something.
Mrs. Gandhi, thank you very much for visiting the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital to enquire about the condition of those injured in the serial blasts and thank you once again for describing the serial blasts as "dastardly" act and for saying that those behind these blasts would not be spared. But when will you party really act instead of you and your Prime Minister Mr. Manmohan Singh bigmouthing about how these acts should be condemned? It's time you show some efforts instead of just "voicing" your concern against "dastardly" acts life the Delhi blasts. You did the same during the previous blasts and we see no improvements. Jaipur in May, Bangalore and Ahmedabad in July and Delhi on Saturday, different locations, but all the attacks carried out by the same outfit, possibly by the same bunch of terrorists. What have you done or what are you doing about it instead of just starting off with a new blame game everytime a blasts happens? Everytime a blast happens, the intelligence department blames the police for poor investigations and the police in turn blames the intelligence agencies for not providing them with advance information about possible terrorist strikes. Why don't you stop the blame game and act?
Now right after this the government machinery will feed the spineless media with the news of the high spirits of the Delhites and how they managed to courageously survive the aftermath of the blasts. That's exactly what the government did after the Mumbai blasts, after the Bangalore blasts. Ladies and gentlemen, think about it for once about the Mumbai incident. Serial blasts in trains shook the heart of Mumbai, there was chaos everywhere, people were in a hurry to go back to their respective homes, there were big traffic everywhere, call centre and BPO employees as usual didn't get an off so they had to come to office, there were people crying everywhere. This was the scenario in Mumbai after the Mumbai blasts. Do you find any high spirits in that? I was once a Delhite myself, and I don't find any high spirit other than in the liquor shops in knowing that there had been serial blasts at the place where my friends, relatives, near and dear ones are living and there are red alerts everywhere. I am sorry but I could not buy that piece of news.
Now as usual the government would try to act that it's acting against the terrorist activities in India, some innocent people would be arrested and would be made scapegoats and ta da, you got your villains ladies and gentlemen. It's time to rejoice till the next blasts when again we put our foot in our own mouth over how those people we caught were not the ones we had planned to nail down. Would the government stop this tomfoolery and do something about these terrorist activities? TO keep yourself updated you can subscribe to The Chronicles of R and you can send in your responses either through the comment in the posts or you can email me and I would try to show the government what the citizens of India really feel about these blasts by publishing those emails or a part of them on a separate post.

Delhi Blast Updates : 30 killed and over a 100 people injured
NDTV reports of 30 killed and over a 100 people injured in yesterday's serial blasts in Delhi. The blasts took place in Karol Bagh, Connaught Place, Greater Kailash-I and Barakhamba Road in a span of 25 minutes. Four more bombs found at India Gate, Regal cinema & Central Park were defused.
In an email to the media organizations, the terrorist organization Indian Mujahideen claimed responsibility for the blasts. The explosions happened in the following sequence :
1. Gaffar market area of Karol Bag at 6:10pm, explosives were placed near a car and because of the severity of the explosion an auto was thrown up several feet.
2. Connaught Place area where blasts happened in dustbins.
3. On Barakhamba Road.
4. Greater Kailash - 1 in the M-Block market.
Two persons have been detained by the police for questioning. The police say that a 12-year-old boy may be able to provide clues.
As usual, the protocol urged Mr Prime Minister to condemn the blasts and appeal for calm. I wonder whether he would be able to remain calm himself had his own house had been caught in the explosion. Is there anything being done about these increasing terrorist activities other than everytime there is a blast the Prime Minister urging the Nation to remain calm and forgetting the whole incident by the time he reaches home that night? Do we really care to know what is being done anymore or do we want results instead of the inconspicuous mindless drones of Mr Prime Minister after every blast in India? Would the government really take any serious step this time? Would these blasts be able to shake the nerves of Delhites? To know more about the Delhi serial blast subscribe to our feed.

What is a Poem?
I Can't Make You Love Me

Turn down the lights, turn down the bed
Turn down these voices inside my head
Lay down with me, tell me no lies
Just hold me close, don't patronize - don't patronize me
Cause I can't make you love me if you don't
You can't make your heart feel something it won't
Here in the dark, in these final hours
I will lay down my heart and I'll feel the power
But you won't, no you won't
Cause I can't make you love me, if you don't
I'll close my eyes, then I won't see
The love you don't feel when you're holding me
Morning will come and I'll do what's right
Just give me till then to give up this fight
And I will give up this fight
Cause I can't make you love me if you don't
You can't make your heart feel something it won't
Here in the dark, in these final hours
I will lay down my heart and I'll feel the power
But you won't, no you won't
'Cause I can't make you love me, if you don't

Google Chrome
Google finally has come out with a browser of it's own, it's christened as Google Chrome. It's Google's open source browser project through which Google has stepped into the browser market. With so many browsers available in the market, you must be thinking what's so special about Google Chrome?
First of all, we should understand that most of the websites that we visit now a days are not just a collection of web pages, rather they are applications. Whatever we do now on the internet like watch and upload videos, chat, play online games, these things didn't exist when the first set of browsers were created. So Google thought about making something to cater to the needs of the modern day applications and a modern day user.
At Google they felt that browsers needs to be more stable, it needs to be more faster, it needs to be more secure along with being clean and efficient. During the initial phase of the project, the guys in Google mainly focused on one of the biggest problems of the modern day browsers. All of them are inherently single-threaded. Now what do we mean by that? It's very simple, say for example you are viewing a website which has a JavaScript coded into it. Once the browser starts to execute the script the control gets transferred from the browser to the script. So till the time the script completes functioning the browser cannot do anything else. So the developers write APIs which are asynchronous in nature. Which is why every now and then the browser hangs when a script stops running.
Initially Google was thinking about a multi-threaded browser but finally they decided upon a multi-process browser. In this architecture, each process has it's own copy of global data structures which is quite similar with the architecture of any modern OS. So in Chrome we have separate JavaScript threads. So if one of the tab is busy we would still be able to use the other tabs as well. And if there is a bug in the renderer, only one of the tabs crashes but the rest remains the same. Oh! and when one of the tabs crashes we get the "sad tab" which actually has a sad smiley on it. And although a multi-process design seems to be using a bit more memory yet over the time it will also mean a less memory bloat.
In a traditional browser, we only have one process and one address space that the web pages keep loading onto. When we have too many tabs open we need to close some to free up memory. When we open up a new tab we use the memory which was being used previously. But over the time due to fragmentation memory gets wasted. Which makes the browser slower and slower with time. But with Chrome when a tab is closed the whole process is terminated and all that memory gets reclaimed. So in case of a memory leak it would not affect much because once the tab is closed the memory is recovered. Now to take that one step further, while surfing from domain A to domain B the rendering engine can also be changed along with the data structure and process. So you can use Google Chrome's task manager to look up which tab or process is taking the most amount of memory and then end it if required. Even the plug-ins can be seen in the task manager as they appear as separate processes.
With the presence of a massive infrastructure for crawling web pages, Google tested Chrome-bots with millions of pages which would would otherwise have taken months or years maybe.
The open source rendering engine for Google Chrome is called Webkit. It is easily adaptable to embedded devices. Google have also build up a JavaScript virtual machine which helps in providing security and platform independence. With this Google have eliminated the core design flaw of current JavaScript's engines, bad garbage collection.
Overall Google has made it's browser robust yet simplistic in nature. I have downloaded the Google Chrome myself and am finding it very easy to use, it's fast and compact. But it's now to the developers to build plug-ins and applications to cater to the other needs of browsing, like download managers etc.

Some Latest Trends in SEO
[Posted by Chris Hart]
Other than keyword optimization, SEO requires different optimization techniques some of which includes image optimization, text optimization, flash optimization etc. It is also a part of on-site optimization.
Geographic optimization is another SEO technique which is implemented on-demand basis. It's achieved mainly using a method called geo-tagging. With geographic optimization a webpage or website is included in search engine listings specifically for users who search for services in a purticular geographical region, county, state or area.
Social bookmarking is the latest trend in the SEO market. Today there are thousands of social media sites that would help you to promote your site by providing you with a do-follow backlink, by allowing you to create your own community related to your blog and other similar things. These helps in improving your link popularity and also helps in achieving some quality traffic.
As the search engine algorithms are getting more sophisticated everyday, new SEO techniques are coming in picture. Of course, human brain is there to beat its own algorithms. We just need to do the best and be a part of this race and latest trends. Competition is there to stay and grow. All the best!

True Love
We still need to learn what true love is from the animal. Below are photos of two birds said to have been pictured in the Republic of Ukraine. Millions of people cry after watching these pictures in America and Europe. It is said that the photographer sold these pictures for a nominal price to the most famous news paper in France. And all the copies of that news paper were sold out on the day of publishing these pictures.
Here his wife is injured and the condition is very appalling.
Here he brings her food and attend her with love and compassion.
Brings her food but shocked with her death and try to move her.
He is aware that his sweetheart is dead and will not come to him again he cries with adoring love.
Stand beside her and scream saddened of her death.
Finally aware that she would not return to him and she departed him, stand beside her
body with grief and sorrow.
And we don't understand how it feels to have lost our loved ones. How it feels when our loved ones leave us, crying in the middle of the road. We still need a lot to learn from the animals.

Metamorphosis

Once I was a dreamer, a poet
And an ordinary human being,
Now,
All that is left of me is
A very lonely soul,
Waiting to die in her arms
Which are not there anymore!

Kuch Shabd, Tumhari Khubsoorti Ke Naam
[This is my 100th post. Celebrating this moment of joy with The Chronicles of R, with R by my side]
"Tum kitni pyaari aur khubsoorat ho shayad tumko abhi bhi pata na ho. Kabhi baarish mein bheega hua bagicha dekha hain, lagta hain na ke kisine ussmein naye rang bhar diya ho? Ya phir garajta hua badal se baarish ki boonde girta hua dekha hain kabhi? Jab chahre pe girte hain to lagta hain ke badan ka kona kona bheeg jaye paani ki boondon se. Kabhi chaand ki chaandni ko apne hathon mein samet kar dekha hain? Tumhari khubsoorti ke agey yeh sab banawati lagti hain. Pheeka padh jata hain iss kaynaat ki har koi khubsoorti. Phir bhi adhura raheta hain tumhari khubsoorti ki taarif."
